I painted two versions of this old chain. One with a very bright appearance, the other with a very dark look with a much more intense lock. This one I call "Good" and its sister painting is called "Evil." When sitting side by side, they compliment each other beautifully. Both were painted using 18th century reproduction watercolor paint on Arches 140# paper.
