Description
This rhododendron is one of the many growing around my home. I cut this piece so I could paint it while I was watching TV since it has been incredibly rainy here in Tacoma, Washington the last couple days. The original is 10.25” x 14” in size and is painted with a combination of 18th century reproduction watercolor paint, Winsor and Newton watercolor paint, and Daniel Smith watercolor paint. I used Arches 140# cold-pressed paper because I really like its coarse character and the way it interacts with the paint.
