Description
This is a digital paint version of a photograph I took several years ago in Carcavelos, Portugal. I was visiting friends and enjoyed strolling the beach there. It was not an area heavily visited by tourists, like the beautiful Cascais area just a ways further up the coast, but was a pleasant spot for local families.

A really wonderful image . . . I always love a scene that can have a story behind it . . . the viewer can take this one in many ways. Very nice, Sarah!....vf

Very nice and a great capture of a person in thought while the world is whirring around her!

I love this photo! I have a child that does this all the time. He says he is having a blast. I figure we all need thinkers in this world! This is great! Thanks!
Sarah Loft replied:
Thank you, Chellie! The thinker in the photo is my daughter who has kids of her own now, including another "thinker". :)

I love the whole composition of this piece...the nostalgic touch to the girl just sitting there ala David ... L/F Tweeted & FB
Sarah Loft replied:
Thank you, Wild Thing! I took the picture so long ago, it really is practically vintage. The girl is my daughter Rebekah about fifteen years ago.

Excellent, Sarah. Great capture of mood, not only with the main subject but with all the subsidiary subjects in total as well.
