Painting - Watercolor On Paper

Description

Since I have been on a bit of a rose kick lately, one of my good friends dropped by with a couple rose buds to give me some great ideas. Amazingly, they are still flowering even though it is late fall here in Western Washington. This particular rose variety is known as the Jackson & Perkins Rio Samba. Of course, I took a few artistic liberties with it but I think the painting captures its essence fairly well. The original painting is 10" x 14" in size and is painted with a combination of Rublev, Daniel Smith, and Sennelier watercolor paints on Arches 140# cold-pressed watercolor paper.
