Artist's Description
I've been on a bit of a rose kick lately and have been experimenting with different perspectives and techniques. This rose started with an underlying layer of Yellow followed by glazing layers of Opera Rose. Obviously I kept the palette very minimal. The background is simply some Vine Black mixed with a little Prussian Blue. The original watercolor painting is 14" x 10" in size and is painted with Sennelier watercolors on an Arches 140# cold-pressed substrate.
