Description
I have been so busy with preparations (cleaning the house) for the arrival of guests for our Thanksgiving holiday that I haven't had time to paint as much as I would like. I decided I wanted to squeeze a quick, smaller-sized, floral work in to add to my series but in order to simplify it, I left the background bare. I like the way it is a contrast to some of the other florals in this series and the absence of a background left me to concentrate a bit more heavily on the flower itself. The original is 7"x10" in size and is painted with Rublev 18th century reproduction watercolor paint and Winsor & Newton watercolor paint on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper.
