This is my colorful rendition of the Emma Hotel. I love this place and it has been awarded 5 Diamonds AAA award. It, too, has quite a history. The Building was originally Pearl's Brewhouse in 1894 and a San Antonio Landmark ever since then. The company was aquired by Emma Koehler and she did an amazing job of leadership for over 6 decades until it closed down in 2001. Lucky for San Antonians, Silver Ventures bought the property a did a beautiful renovation and the rest is history. The entire Pearl area is a fabulous place for innovative dining, farm to market, The Culinary Institute of San Antonio, live music, and the beautiful addition of the Riverwalk extention area.
