This was a fun piece where I was able to mix some interesting purples for the flowers. I found these growing in the yard of a good friend of mine after he purchased his new home and thought they would make an interesting painting. I had a terrible time trying to get the colors to scan correctly from the original piece so I had to resort to using my camera and daylight bulbs which is much more effort for me and reduces the size of the available prints. The original is 14"x10.25" and is painted with Rublev, Sennelier, Daniel Smith, and Winsor & Newton watercolor paints on Sennelier 140# cold-pressed paper.
